The Zags hit the road for the last time in the regular season, playing two key games at Santa Clara and San Francisco this weekend.
Kasey Rubosky headed home a 60th minute goal to bring the Zags even with No. 11 Pepperdine at 1-1, giving the Zags their first point against a ranked team since 2007.
The Zags scored their fastest goal of the season Friday afternoon and created 21 total shots, but it wasn't enough as LMU scored twice against the run of play to down Gonzaga 2-1.
Gonzaga women's soccer return home to host Loyola Marymount and Pepperdine after a bye. Sunday's match against Pepperdine is the Zags' annual Pink at the Pitch game.
The Gonzaga defense held strong for much of the match, but BYU scored two goals in four minutes to give the Zags their first WCC loss of the season.
