High School: Attended Horizon Christian Academy in San Diego, Calif...Horizon went 27-6 as senior and lost to nationally ranked North Hollywood Campbell Hall, 62-59, in the Southern California Region IV final in the 2007 CIF playoffs... averaged 20.3 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 6.0 assists and 1.6 steals senior season...team went 29-3 as junior on way to Southern California Region IV and State CIF title...helped extend Horizon's streak of six straight Southern California Region IV titles and the 2006 CIF crown was the school's third in five years.

FRESHMAN (2008-09): Attended Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff, Mo., averaging 14.5 ppg and 4.5 assists on his way to Region XVI Player of the Year and second team National Junior College Athletic Association All-America honors.

SOPHOMORE (2009-10): Attended Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff, Mo., averaging 17.2 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 5.5 assists/game, 1.3 steals and 0.4 blocks in helping Three Rivers advance to title game of National Junior College Athletic Association title game...named to NJCAA All-Tournament first team...Raiders fell to Howard of Texas 85-80 in the title game despite a 35-point effort from Carter in which he went 8-for-24 from the field, 4-for-7 from 3-point range and 7-for-9 from free throw line...scored 15 points, grabbed 6 rebounds in tournament opener against Monroe, going 11-for-12 from free throw line...26 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals in 83-73 quarterfinal win over NW Florida, connecting on 5-of-12 from the field, 3-of-5 from 3-point range and 7-of-8 from free throw line...15 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals in 76-68 semifinal win over Navarro, Texas, CC, going 5-for-10 from the field, 5-of-6 from free throw line...shot 43.3 percent from the field (141-for-326) and 38.3 percent from 3-point range (23-for-60) for the season.

JUNIOR (2010-11): Came off bench in 21 of first 23 games...first start came against IUPUI, playing 13 minutes, scoring 3 points...didn't start again until Xavier game, playing 12 minutes, scoring 2 points in place of Steven Gray who was out with back spasms....played 26 minutes against Baylor in Dallas after Gray left game with back spasms in first half, scoring a season-high 13 points for his first double-digit game...after playing 18 minutes in reserve role against Lafayette saw double-digit minutes just once over next seven games...played 20 minutes off bench at home against Saint Mary's early in West Coast Conference season, 17 against San Diego with 10 points and 4 assists and then-season high 28 minutes at Portland...inserted in starting lineup against Memphis and was a fixture there the remainder of the season, starting the last 12 games through the NCAA Tournament...scored double-digit points in seven of those 12 games, including season/career high 24 against St. John's in first round of NCAA Tournament, going 6-for-10 form the field, 3-for-5 from 3-point range and 9-of-11 from the line while also grabbing season-high 6 rebounds...had season/career high 7 assists at Pepperdine...in two WCC Tournament games played 38 minutes against San Francisco and matched season high with 39 minutes in title game against Saint Mary's...went 10-for-12 from the line against USF in semifinal, going 7-of-8 late in the game to hold off a Dons rally and finished with 18 points...named WCC Newcomer of the Year and was named MVP of the WCC Tournament...averaged team-leading 14.5 ppg in WCC Tournament, connecting on 8-of-19 from the field and 13-of-15 from the line...in last 23 games has committed just 23 turnovers - 4 of them at Pepperdine - and had 56 assists for a 2.4 assist/turnover ratio covering 550 minutes.

Misc.: Older brother, Nate, played two seasons at UC Riverside, played his final two seasons at University of Oklahoma and currently plays for JSF Nanterre in France.
