NEW YORK, N.Y. - Gonzaga University women's basketball senior Kayla Standish is one of the top 15 prospects invited to the 2012 WNBA Draft presented by Boost Mobile Monday, April 16 at ESPN in Bristol, Conn. ESPN2 will provide the coverage and analysis of the first round beginning at 11 a.m. PT (2 p.m. ET); in addition, ESPN3.com will simulcast the entire Draft. ESPNU and NBA TV will broadcast the second and third rounds.

The WNBA Draft will mark the second year it conducts its draft at ESPN headquarters. The 2011 WNBA Draft marked the first time a professional sports league held its draft on the campus of ESPN.

Standish's invite marks the second-consecutive year a Bulldog has been invited to the Draft as Courtney Vandersloot attended the Draft a season ago and was the No. 3 overall pick, chosen by the Chicago Sky.

Standish, the two-time All-West Coast Conference honoree, helped Gonzaga to its third-straight NCAA Tournament Sweet Sixteen appearance this season. The senior averaged a team-best 16.4 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game, while shooting an impressive 48.0 percent (214-of-446) from the field and 78.9 percent (127-of-161) at the charity stripe.

The 6-3 forward exploded in this post-season, averaging 23.2 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists over the Zags five games, including three NCAA Tournament contests. She shot 50.0 percent (43-of-86) from the field and 85.3 percent (29-of-34) at the free throw line.

She earned both Associated Press and WBCA State Farm All-America honorable mention accolades this season.

Former Zag Vivian Frieson was the first-ever player drafted by the WNBA, getting selected 31st by the Tulsa Shock.

Also among the fifteen prospects invited to this year's WNBA Draft is Stanford University forward Nnemkadi Ogwumike; the University of Tennessee front court trio of Glory Johnson, Shekinna Stricklen and Vicki Baugh; University of Miami (Fla.) guards Shenise Johnson and Riquna Williams; guard Natalie Novosel and forward Devereaux Peters of Notre Dame; guard Tiffany Hayes of the University of Connecticut; guard Samantha Prahalis of Ohio State University; forward LaSondra Barrett of Louisiana State;  forward Julie Wojta of Wisconsin-Green Bay;  center Sasha Goodlet of Georgia Tech and center Lynetta Kizer of Maryland.

Seven of the 15 players earned All-America honors either from the Associated Press or the State Farm Coaches' poll this season.

After winning the Draft Lottery for the first time since 2008, the Los Angeles Sparks hold the No. 1 overall pick.

Rounding out the top five picks are the Seattle Storm (second, via trade with Chicago), Minnesota (third, by virtue of a trade with Washington), the Tulsa Shock (fourth), and the San Antonio Silver Stars.

WNBA.com, in addition to providing comprehensive draft-day coverage, will serve as the web destination for fans who want to track top prospects throughout the Draft.
