THIS WEEKEND: The Gonzaga University women's tennis team travels to Palo Alto, Calif., for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association 2012 Regionals beginning Friday. The tournament is made up of two draws, a singles and a doubles. Matches will be played at the Taube Tennis Center on the Stanford University's campus. The tournament winner automatically qualifies for the ITA National Indoor Championships in Flushing Meadows, N.Y., Nov. 8-11. Play starts at 9 a.m. on Friday.

HEAD COACH D.J. GURULE'S THOUGHTS ON THE ITA REGIONALS: "We played some top competition last weekend at Saint Mary's. I felt good about our accomplishments all fall season and our level of play continues to improve. This weekend will be a great challenge for us but I am confident that we will be competitive from the start. I am very excited to see how we match up against the best in the Pacific Northwest."

BULLDOGS PARTICIAPTING IN PALO ALTO: Gonzaga University women's tennis will be sending six Bulldogs to play in the 2012 ITA Regionals. Representing GU will be freshman Samantha Polayes, sophomore Katie Edwards, senior Prue Teitzel, sophomore Alexandra Tallas, freshman Sissi Koehler and freshman Melanie Yates.

PAIRINGS IN PALO ALTO: Gonzaga University women's tennis will compete in both singles and doubles competition at the 2012 ITA Regionals. Pairing up for the Zags will be the duos of Samantha Polayes and Prue Teitzel, Katie Edwards and Melanie Yates; and Alexandra Tallas and Sissi Koehler.

CONFIDENT FOR REGIONALS: The Gonzaga University women's tennis team has a quick turnaround for the 2012 ITA Regionals. Last weekend the Bulldogs played in the Saint Mary's Invitational in Moraga, Calif., where the Zags hope their momentum carries over. The Bulldogs would lose matches to only the eventual winner of the draws or the finalist.

THE END OF THE FALL SEASON: After the 2012 ITA Regionals the Gonzaga University women's tennis team will have completed the four tournament fall season. The Bulldogs will be back in action in 2013 for the spring season.
