Bulldogs Stand Firm At No. 25 In Associated Press Poll

SPOKANE, Wash. – The Gonzaga University women’s basketball team is once again ranked 25th in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll, released Monday.

After opening the 2013-14 campaign with victories over both the University of Idaho and UT Martin, the Bulldogs received 18 more votes than a week ago for a total of 99. The No. 25 Zags are three votes behind No. 24 University of Georgia and five votes behind No. 23 University of Dayton.  

The University of Connecticut received all but one first place vote and 899 total votes to stand firm in the No. 1 spot. Duke University, who received a first place vote, is second with 862 votes while Stanford University rounds out the top three with 804 votes.

Gonzaga’s next opponent the University of Oklahoma is ranked 11th with 492 votes. The Bulldogs play the Sooners Thursday, Nov. 14 at 5 p.m. PT. The game can be seen on Fox Sports Southwest Plus and Fox College Sports Central.
