Men's Soccer Back Home Seeking To Crack WCC Win Column
SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University's men's soccer team returns home this weekend to face Saint Mary's College Friday at 3 p.m. and Santa Clara University Sunday at 2 p.m. in a pair of West Coast Conference matches.
The Bulldogs are looking to crack the WCC win column, bringing a 0-4-0 conference mark into the weekend. Three of the first four WCC matches for Gonzaga have been on the road, including last weekend's 2-1 double-overtime setback at Loyola Marymount University and a 2-0 loss at the University of San Diego. The Bulldogs have never started a season 0-5-0 since the WCC format went to a double round robin in 2004.
The first half of West Coast Conference play ends this weekend. Gonzaga University will travel to Saint Mary's College next Friday and Santa Clara University next Sunday to open the second half of WCC play.
