Andrew Owenson's Collegiate Career

FRESHMAN (2010): Played in 16 matches with 13 starts...started first five and last six matches of season...first collegiate point was unassisted goal against Oregon State, the first Bulldog goal in a 3-2 Gonzaga win...also picked up assist on Colin Flynn's match-winning goal in 3-1 home victory over San Francisco.

SOPHOMORE (2011):  Came off the bench in season opener against Washington and in sixth match against CS Bakersfield, then earned starting berths in three straight matches prior to suffering season-ending broken foot.

JUNIOR (2012): Did not play in season opener against Washington, then came off the bench in seven of next eight matches with his lone start at Oregon State…started final 10 matches of season…lone goal came with one second remaining in double overtime for 3-2 victory over Wisconsin-Green Bay at Hensor/Zaher Soccer Nike Soccer Classic hosted by Oregon State, the first match-winning goal of his career...named to the All-Tournament team at Oregon State…named West Coast Conference All-Academic honorable mention with a 3.41 GPA in mechanical engineering.

Misc.:  4.27 high school GPA...Principal's List all four years...Cardinal Newman Oxford Scholar...member of Tomorrow's Leaders Today...mother, Peggy, played volleyball at Cal Poly Pomona, earning 1985 and 1986 All-CCAA first team honors and named team MVP in 1986...still ranks in Top 10 for single-season digs.
