SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Spokane, will team up to bring "Kraziness in the Kennel" to the McCarthey Athletic Center Oct. 22 as the 2011-12 edition of the Bulldog men's basketball team will be introduced.

            The festivities will start at 4 p.m. with the doors opening at 3 p.m. The event is free to the public with seating available on a first-come, first serve basis. The event is also being held concurrently with Fall Family Weekend on the Gonzaga campus.

            One lucky fan will have a chance to win $10,000 at Kraziness in the Kennel. To be eligible for the $10,000, beginning October 1, fans must visit the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory at 506 N. Sullivan in the Spokane Valley or their new location on the main level of River Park Square in downtown Spokane and pick up a coupon to be deposited in the drop box at "Kraziness in the Kennel." One name will be drawn with that fan getting the chance to win $10,000.

            "We are excited to be involved with such a high-profile event for the second straight season," said Aaron Blackmer, owner of Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory in Spokane. "The ability to showcase premium basketball and premium chocolates together will hopefully leave Zag fans hungering for more."

            The Gonzaga radio network, 1510 KGA in Spokane, will also air a 90-minute season preview show from 3:30-5 p.m. live from the McCarthey Athletic Center with the voice of the Bulldogs Tom Hudson and second-year analyst Matt Santangelo courtside.

            Other festivities surrounding Kraziness in the Kennel will be released as they become finalized.
