Cheerleaders To Sell Car Raffle Tickets

SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University's cheerleaders and Spike the mascot will be at the McDonald Road Tidyman's in the Spokane Valley on Saturday selling raffle tickets for a chance to win a 2005 Scion XB or season tickets to the 2005-06 men's basketball games.

Downtown Toyota has donated the Scion XB to Bulldog athletics with all proceeds from the raffle going directly to support Gonzaga's athletic department and its teams. The drawing will be held Feb. 28 when the Bulldog men's basketball team plays Northern Colorado University in the season finale at the McCarthey Athletic Center.

The Kennel Patrol car will be on display Saturday from 10 a.m.-noon at the McDonald Road Tidyman's with the cheerleaders selling raffle tickets. The Cheerleaders and Spike will also be available for photographs.

Raffle tickets are $5 each and will also be on sale at all remaining Gonzaga men's and women's home basketball games leading up to the Northern Colorado game and the drawing on Feb. 28. Tickets are also available at the ticket window in the McCarthey Athletic Center from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
