Gonzaga University ~ NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament Ticket Questions

How are tickets allocated for the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament?

Tickets for the NCAA Tournament are distributed in two ways.  Each participating institution is allocated 550 tickets for the each first and second round session in which it plays, 1,250 tickets for the third and fourth rounds and 3,500 tickets for the Final Four.  The remaining tickets are sold by the host institution for each location.  Typically, the host institution will sell out of these tickets far in advance of the tournament pairings being set.  If a tournament location is sold out, participating institutions are limited to their allotment of seats and no additional seats will be made available for public sale. Gonzaga University will not purchase additional tickets above its allotment.

How will Gonzaga University allocate NCAA Tournament Tickets?
Tickets will be allocated to the Gonzaga basketball team and their families, to Gonzaga University students and to Gonzaga University donors.  Donors will be allocated tickets on a priority point basis.  The priority will be determined by using an updated priority points system.  Priority points were determined with gifts made on or before February 1, 2010. It is projected that less then the top 10% of athletic donors will be allocated seats from Gonzaga University for first and second round games.
