Thirteen Bulldogs Named WCC All-Academic

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Thirteen Gonzaga University student-athletes, including three each in baseball and women's golf, have been named to the 2003 West Coast Conference Spring All-Academic teams.
To be considered, a student-athlete must earn at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, be a starter or important reserve with legitimate athletic credentials and have sophomore athletic and academic standing.
The Gonzaga baseball players selected were junior Marshall Bratton (3.60 grade point average in accounting), junior John Gonzalez (3.80 GPA in physical education) and senior Eric Rodland (3.76 GPA in mechanical engineering). The three Bulldog women's golfers named to the team were junior Kelsey Posedel (3.57, marketing), senior Kate Siddell (3.44, business administration) and sophomore Elizabeth Campbell (3.70, exercise science)
Other Bulldogs selected were women's rowers Kristi Aamodt (junior, 3.90 GPA in public relations) and Cynthia Savoca (senior, 3.75, sociology); men's golfers David Hill (senior, 3.58, psychology) and Matt Munroe (sophomore, 3.28, business); men's tennis players Brendan Cunningham (senior, 3.40, biology) and Shaun Whitney (senior, 3.41, biology) and women's tennis player Katie Rock (senior, 3.77, international relations).
