Gonzaga Athletics Announces Zags Athletic Giving
June 5, 2017 It's an exciting time for Gonzaga Athletics, and we've received remarkable support in our pursuit of excellence in competition, in the classroom, and in the community.
As an Athletic Department, we strive to get better in everything we do and never be satisfied with our results. Along with our successes, we face many challenges, including the rising cost of providing student-athletes with a well-rounded experience. Coupling those challenges with feedback we have received from donors over the years, it was clear that there was room for growth and improvement in our fundraising vehicle.
So, we embarked on an 18-month process where we took a close look at the Bulldog Club and its functionality, structure and benefit to its members. We conducted focus groups, interviews and surveys, and we responded to the feedback gathered in this process.
As an outcome of this effort, we would like to announce the launch of Zags Athletic Giving (ZAG). This new comprehensive giving vehicle replaces the Bulldog Club. ZAG will allow donors to support the athletic programs they are most passionate about and earn benefit levels appropriately reflecting all athletic giving. As a new component of ZAG, we have also created the Gonzaga Athletics Scholarship Endowment to work toward sustainable scholarship support for our current and future student-athletes.
