Gonzaga Announces Fall Sports Schedules

SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University has released its 2002 fall schedules for volleyball and men's and women's soccer. All three schedules are currently available on the official Gonzaga athletic website and can be accessed by clicking on the schedule button on the left hand side of the page at GoZags.com.
New head coach Kip Yoshimura and the Bulldogs vollleyball program will open up their home scheudle with a Labor Day game against Montana. The September 2 game will start at 5 p.m. in the Martin Centre. In addition to ten home matches, Gonzaga will also compete in tournaments at Washington State, Montana State and Colorado State.
The men's soccer program will look to return to the NCAA tournament after making the program's first post-season appearance in 2001. The Bulldogs will open play on August 30 with a home match against Oregon State at 4 p.m. Gonzaga will host the Gonzaga/Nike Soccer Classic the following weekend with games against Wisconsin and Air Force. Head coach Einar Thorinsson will also take his team to tournaments at Oregon State and Clemson this season.
Women's soccer will open the 2002 season on the road at the Air Force Tourmanet before a second weekend of competition against Oregon and Oregon State on the road. Head coach Shannon Stiles will have eight home contests this season as the Bulldogs return a veteran team to compete in the West Coast Conference.
