Spots Remain For Zags Golf Classic
Aug. 22, 2007
SPOKANE, Wash. - Spots still remain for the 23rd annual Zags Golf Classic scheduled for Sept. 10 at Manito Golf and Country Club according to Gonzaga University Director of Athletic Giving Paul Brown.
Brown explained a new format implemented for this year's event. The traditional afternoon scramble is full, but Brown said spots remain for the new morning best-ball session. The morning best ball will include 100 players grouped into two-person teams. The day will consist of a 6:30 a.m. breakfast and registration followed by a day of golf with on-course hospitality and lunch to follow.
"There was a lot of interest in creating the best ball session, and the tournament committee thought it would be good to implement this because of the high interest in the golf tournament, which has been filled for years. This gives an opportunity for those golfers who may have been turned away in the past to come out and enjoy a day with the Zags," Brown said.
Golfers can reserve their spot in the best ball by visiting the web at http://gozags.cstv.com/boosters/zags-golf-classic-2007.html. For more information contact Brown at 509-323-4084 or via e-mail at email@example.com.
