Third-Annual Food Drive Set For Bulldogs Game Sunday
Spokane, Wash. - Gonzaga University's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (S.A.A.C.) and The Campus Kitchen at GU are partnering for their third-annual Holiday Food Drive at the women's basketball game against Southern California University Sunday. Game time is 2 p.m. with doors opening at 1 p.m.
Fans can bring food donations to the game to support local families this holiday season. Fans who donate will be entered into a raffle for chance to win ticket packages for women's basketball games against Loyola Marymount University and BYU, as well as other items.
Thanks to generosity from fans at the previous two collections, over 1,500 community members benefited as nearly $1,500 and 1,000 pounds of food were collected.
The Campus Kitchen at GU is part of The Campus Kitchens Project, a national non-profit organization whose mission is to empower student leaders and combat hunger across America. S.A.A.C. serves as the student-athlete voice within the Athletic Department, WCC, and NCAA, regarding their academic, athletic, and personal welfare. S.A.A.C. upholds Gonzaga's Jesuit tradition of service for others with their commitment to volunteering in the community.
