Hogan Runs Sixth-Fastest Indoor 5K in Program History

SEATTLE – Gonzaga’s Peter Hogan placed third in his heat of the men’s 5,000 meters with the sixth-fastest time in program history at the UW Invitational Friday.
Hogan crossed the line at 14:36.40, finishing in 13th overall. He finished ahead of teammates Phillip Fishburn and Stefan Bradley in the second section. Fishburn’s time of 14:49.42 was 10th in the heat and Bradley was 16th at 15:07.79. Bennett Gagnon was 15th in the first section at 14:59.11.
In the men’s 3,000 meters, Luke Mason placed sixth in the first section with a time of 8:32.58. The freshman improved on his 8:39.07 on the same track two weeks ago at the UW Indoor Preview.
Andrew Clusserath opens the second day of the UW Invitational for the Zags. He runs in the first section of the men’s mile at 12:05 p.m. Live video of the second day will be available via FloTrack and live results will be available on GoZags.com.
