SEATTLE, Wash. - Gonzaga University's men's and women's cross country teams each finished seventh at the Sundodger Invitational Saturday at Lincoln Park.

The Bulldog men scored 197 points with Colby Litzenberger and Brett Withers pacing the Bulldogs. Litzenberger finished 27th in 24:53 over the 8K course, with Withers 44th in 25:09.

Paul Limpf of Eastern Washington University captured individual honors in 23:33.

Host University of Washington captured the men's and women's team titles, the Husky men with 41 points and the women with 24.

On the women's side, the Bulldogs scored 225 points. Laura Volcheff finished 47th in 22:31 for the 6K run. Elizabeth Slamkowski was 61st in 23:07 and Molly Funk 67th in 23:28.

UW's Kendra Schaaf won in 19:58.

Gonzaga's men and women each finished ahead of West Coast Conference foe Saint Mary's College, the only other WCC school entered in the competition. The Gaels men had 205 points and the women 236, both squads taking eighth behind the Bulldogs.

The next action for the Bulldogs will be Oct. 4 at the Montana Invitational in Missoula, Mont. Gonzaga is gearing for the WCC Championships Nov. 1.
