2017: Pitched in 12 games as a redshirt sophomore, starting nine...5-3 with a 5.20 ERA, striking out 33 in 45.0 innings pitched...made first career start Feb. 19 versus Indiana, striking out career-high five batters...started five-outing, 25.1-inning stretch of 4-0 record, 2.49 ERA April 17-May 22...career-high six innings, allowing one run and four hits April 17 versus Washington State...five scoreless innings in relief April 30 against Saint Mary's for first career WCC win...earned win after 5.1 innings of two-run, five-strikeout win May 20 versus BYU to claim share of WCC title...earned start in finals of WCC Championships May 27 versus BYU.

2016: Pitched 7.1 innings with a 4.91 ERA as a redshirt freshman…struck out eight batters…first career appearance came Feb. 19 at Grand Canyon, striking out only batter faced…earned save at No. 7 TCU with one strikeout…tossed scoreless inning April 19 at Washington State…set career highs with 2.2 innings pitched and three strikeouts May 21 at San Diego.

Redmond High School: Played baseball for two years at Redmond…posted 4-2 record as a starter with a 2.76 ERA and 44 strikeouts…hit .304 as DH as a senior…earned KingCo Honorable Mention both years, earning it as a pitcher during junior year and as a Designated Hitter senior year…Also played basketball for two years and golf for two years…member of National Honor Society…earned President’s Award for Educational Excellence, Washington State Honor Award, earned top test score in 2014 Washington DECA Area 3 sports and entertainment marketing competition and took second in team event.

Personal: Parents are Katy and Dave…has two siblings: Alicia and Drew…grandpa Don Bies was a professional golfer with eight PGA/Senior PGA Tour wins, and uncle Tom Neal played baseball for Whitman…has a cat named Paco and often laughs at his own jokes…chose Gonzaga because older sister went to Gonzaga and he liked the school. He was impressed with the baseball program, academics, and the service opportunities.
