HIGH SCHOOL: Earned three varsity letters in baseball at Spokane's North Central High playing for former Gonzaga player Scott Harmon...earned first team All-Greater Spokane League honors all three seasons, with GSL MVP honors his senior year...helped lead North Central to second place finish in the 2001 Washington State 4A baseball championships...finished senior season with a 0.25 ERA and 49 strikeouts...also earned three varsity letters in basketball.
SOPHOMORE (2004): Appeared in 13 games with 12 starts...worked as the Bulldogs number three starter going 4-3 overall and 3-1 in WCC action...named the WCC Pitcher of the Week after striking out 13 batters in a win over Utah Valley State...ranked third on the team with 64.2 innings pitched...posted a 5.21 ERA in WCC action while finishing season with a 6.54 ERA for all games. JUNIOR (2005): Started all 15 games in which he appeared...worked as the Bulldogs No. 2 starter posting a 3-2 record and an ERA of 3.18...second on the team in strikeouts with 62...named WCC Pitcher of the Week twice...All-WCC honorable mention...was named to the Surprise Coca-Cola All-Tournament team after leading the Bulldogs to a 2-0 upset win over Arizona State allowing no runs on four hits in 7.0 innings of work.
