HIGH SCHOOL: Earned two varsity letters in baseball and three varsity letters in tennis at Capital High...hit .450 during his senior season...named first-team All-Narrows League and first-team Thurston County All-Area during his senior season.

EVAN WELLS' COLLEGIATE CAREER

FRESHMAN (2005): Played at Lassen Community College...hit .307 overall and .348 in Golden Valley Conference play...earned first-team All-GVC.

SOPHOMORE (2006): Redshirted at Gonzaga University.

RS-SOPHOMORE (2007): The Bulldogs every day second baseman started all 58 games at second...served as the lead-off batter in all 58 contests...recorded 18 multiple-hit games...went 3-for-4 with two runs scored against defending national champion Oregon State University on Feb. 16...recorded three hits, going 3-for-4, with three runs scored and one RBI against Utah Valley State College on Mar. 25...was hit-by-a-pitch three times against Lewis-Clark State College on Mar. 27... posted season-high four hits, going 4-for-5, including lone home run of the season, with three runs batted in and a run scored on April 21 against Saint Mary's College...ranked first on the squad with nine sacrifice bunts...was hit-by-a-pitch a team-leading 18 times, placing him 47th in NCAA Division I...recorded a .271 batting average in West Coast Conference play...committed only one error during league play...posted three hits, including a triple, with one run batted in during the conference championship...earned All-WCC Academic accolades.

JUNIOR (2008): Earned All-West Coast Conference honorable mention accolades...started 50 games, 49 at second base, one at shortstop...led the team with 44 walks, ranking him 27th in NCAA Division I and placing him tied for seventh on the GU single-season list...committed only one error during West Coast Conference play...hit .333 during league play...led the WCC in walks in all games and in league play with 19...served as the lead-off batter in all 50 games played...was third on the team with a .336 average, with 65 hits, seven doubles, a triple, 36 runs batted in and 50 runs scored...reached base safely in all but three contests...recorded a 21-game hit streak between April 4-May 4, the longest hit streak in GU history since 2000...recorded four hits in a contest three times...went 4-for-4 with a season-high six RBI in against New Mexico State University on March 14...recorded four hits against Utah Valley University on March 19...went a perfect 4-for-4 against WCC opponent University of San Diego on April 5.
