Played five seasons of minor league baseball beginning with the Gulf Coast Royals in 2001, the Spokane Indians (2002), Arizona Royals II (2003), Burlington, Iowa (2004), Shreveport Sports Central (2004) and Edmonton, Alberta (2005)...started 10 of 11 appearances with Gulf Coast in the Rookie League, going 2-5 with a 4.99 ERA in 39.2 innings, fanning 42, walking 25... spent 2002 in Spokane with the short-season A Indians of the Northwest League...started 14 of 16 appearances with 2-5 record, 5.43 ERA in 59.2 innings, striking out 42 and walking 58...played for the Arizona Royals II in the Rookie League in 2003, 11 of his appearances starts with a 4-2 record and 4.96 ERA in 61.2 innings, striking out 66, walking 50...began 2004 with Burlington of the Midwest League, appearing in five games in relief with no decisions in 7.0 innings, striking out 8, walking 2...spent the latter half of the season with independent Shreveport of the Central League, going 4-1 in six starts with 2.00 ERA in 36.0 innings, striking out 40, walking 20...acquired by the Seattle Mariners and released in 2005 spring training and went to Edmonton of the independent Northern League...appeared in 31 games with 10 starts, going 4-5 with 4.47 ERA in career-high 96.2 innings, striking out career-high 89, walking 44...developed shoulder problems and decided to forego baseball career.

FRESHMAN (2005-06): Signed with Phoenix College in May, 2005, and went on to play final season of professional baseball in Edmonton...averaged 17.1 ppg, going 253-for-439 from the field for 57.6 percent, 120-for-198 from the free throw line for 60.6 percent and averaged 9.9 rpg...named to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-America second team, the only freshman named to either the first or second team...also first-team Region I and Arizona Community College Athletic Association (ACCAC) selection...recorded 23 double-doubles...Phoenix advanced to NJCAA Division II National Championships for the first time since 1965, advancing to the semifinals.
SOPHOMORE (2006-07): Averaged 16.1 ppg and 8.9 rpg in earning first-team NJCAA All-America honors as Phoenix advanced to the NCJAA Division II National Championships for the second straight season, going 1-2 and finishing sixth...went 228-for-407 from the field for 56.0 percent, 42-for-107 from 3-point range for 39.3 percent, 86-for-141 from the line for 61.0 percent, averaged 2.2 assists/game, 1.5 blocks/game and 1.7 steals/game...also named to the ACCAC, NCJAA Division II Region I and NCJCAA Division II National Tournament All-Tournament teams...ranked as the 42nd best player in junior college by one scouting service.
JUNIOR (2007-08): Played sparingly during the first half of the season with season-high 8 minutes played three times...playing time increased in second half of season, playing season-high 11 minutes at Pepperdine and against Portland...scored first points of season against Cal State Northridge on pair of free throws, and didn't get first field goal until West Coast Conference opener at Loyola Marymount in January...finished 10-for-23 from field in 21 appearances...season-high 4 rebounds against Pepperdine...had four points four times for season high, including regular-season finale against Santa Clara...did not play in WCC Tournament and saw one minute of action in NCAA Tournament First Round against Davidson.
