FRESHMAN (2007-08:) Launched his collegiate career with double-double - 20 points, 10 rebounds - in season opener at home against Montana...went 8-for-13 from the field against the Grizzlies...followed that with 18 points against Idaho, 16 against UC Riverside and 10 against Western Kentucky in the first game of the Great Alaska Shootout...went 12-for-16 from the free throw line against Idaho, starting what would be a streak of 29 straight makes that was snapped against Connecticut in Boston Garden in The Harford Hall of Fame Showcase...scored 17 points at Saint Joseph's, including a big field goal in the final minute of overtime to give the Bulldogs a 4-point lead in 70-65 OT victory...turned in one of stronger all-around performances of the season in regular-set Santa Clara, scoring 13 of his 22 points in overtime as Gonzaga captured 87-82 double-overtime victory, his only other 20-point game to date...had a 3-pointer with 1:32 to go in regulation to pull Bulldogs within 63-61, so 16 of his 22 points actually came in the final 11:32 of regulation and OT...went 7-for-11 from the field including 3-of-4 from 3-point range against SCU...posted second double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds at home against Portland, beginning a stretch where he scored 73 points for 18.3 ppg and grabbed 32 rebounds for 8.0 rpg...first collegiate start came against Connecticut...went 6-for-9 from line in home rematch against Saint Mary's snapping a streak of 18 straight with his first miss, just the second time this season he missed two or more free throws in a game as he fell below 90 percent for the first time this season...ranked in the Top 5 nationally in free throw percentage for latter half of season...through games of March 13 ranked 13th nationally at 89.0 percent...54 blocked shots rank fourth on single-season list, moving ahead of current Los Angeles Laker Ronny Turiaf's 49 in 2003...had season-high 6 blocks against Idaho...finished season ranked 16th in WCC in scoring (10.5 ppg), 10th in field goal percentage (116-for-244, 47.5 percent), first in free throw percentage (89-for-101, 88.1 percent), 15th in rebounding (4.7 rpg) and fourth in blocked shots (1.64/game)...finished 15th nationally in free throw percentage and 77th in blocked shots/game...named WCC honorable mention and to WCC All-Freshman Team...in WCC Tournament scored 8 points in semifinals against Santa Clara and 3 against host San Diego in title-game loss...had 8 rebounds and 3 blocks against SCU, 5 rebounds and a pair of blocks against USD...shot just 36.4 percent (4-for-11) in WCC Tournament and went 0-for-4 from 3-point range, averaging 5.5 ppg, 6.5 rpg and 2.5 blocks/game...scored 7 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in NCAA Tournament First Round against Davidson.
