JUNIOR (2003-04): Was injured throughout all of fall camp after returning from the Eurobasket (European Championships) suffering from a stress fracture of the right leg...was not cleared to play until the day prior to season opener against Saint Joseph's in Madison Square Garden and did not participate in his first full practice until the day before the game...played only five minutes in the opener...came back a week later and played 30 minutes against Idaho and did not played less than 17 minutes in any game since...matched his career high with 29 points against George Washington in the championship game of the BB&T Tournament hosted by Maryland and played at the MCI Center in Washington, DC...went 9-for-14 from the field, 10-for-12 from the free throw line and grabbed six rebounds against the Colonels in leading Gonzaga to the title...was named MVP of the tournament...that game started a stretch of six straight games in double digits, including 23 points in upset of third-ranked Missouri at the Battle in Seattle at KeyArena...had 13 points and 13 rebounds against Montana for his first of four double-doubles of the season, the others 21/14 at Portland and both games of the WCC Tournament when he had 10/12 against host Santa Clara in the semifinals and 29/14 against Saint Mary's in the WCC Tournament title game, the 29 points again matching his career high again as did the 14 rebounds...has 15 career double-doubles...his put back of his own miss with 5.1 seconds left gave Gonzaga 63-61 win over host Santa Clara in semifinals of WCC Tournament...went 3-for-13 from the field against SCU in scoring 10 points, four of them in the final 41 seconds as Gonzaga came from as many as 10 points down in the second half...went 10-for-18 from the field and 9-for-12 from the free throw line in WCC Tournament title-game win over SMC...scored 14 points and had 11 rebounds at halftime of the championship game and was named MVP...surpassed the career 1,000 point mark Jan. 17 at home against Saint Mary's, scoring 19 points, and currently has 1,230 points for 14th...ranks second in career free throws made with 466, and his 165 tied for 4th on the GU single-season list after his 212 last year ranked 3rd...surpassed the 500-rebound plateau at home against Loyola Marymount and now has 564...his 45 blocks this season rank tied for 5th on the single-season list and his 120 career blocks are second...ranks 6th in WCC in scoring (15.5), 6th in rebounding (6.4), 6th in field goal percentage (52.5), 2nd in blocked shots (1.45) and 16th in free throw percentage (70.8)...named to the All-WCC first team for the second straight season...selected to the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) All-District 9 first team and to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) District 14 first team...selected to the John R. Wooden Award Midseason Top 30 and was one of 20 finalists for the Naismith College Basketball Player of the Year Award presented by the Atlanta Tipoff Club.
