Gonzaga Drops Road Game In Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (AP) -Adoyah Miller and John Montgomery made seven-of-eight free throws in the final 30 seconds as Loyola Marymount held on to beat Gonzaga 67-61 on Monday night.
Miller led the Lions (11-14, 3-6 West Coast Conference) with 21 points, while Montgomery finished with 12 points. Matthew Knight added 13 points and nine rebounds.
The Lions' defense, led by Montgomery, Damian Martin and John Ziri, held Gonzaga to two baskets in the final 5:50 of the game. The Lions out-rebounded the Bulldogs 35-31 and shot 44.2 percent for the game, which featured 17 lead changes. Neither team led by more than six points.
Josh Heytvelt led Gonzaga with 18 points and Jeremy Pargo added 16. Gonzaga (17-8, 7-2) dropped to 8-8 on the road this season, and the loss leaves them tied for first in the conference with Santa Clara.
In an evenly played first-half, Miller made three 3-pointers and scored 14 points. Ziri's basket with 30 seconds left in the first half tied the game, 32-32, at the break.
