Keegan Hyland To Transfer From Men's Basketball Team
Jan. 6, 2011
SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University men's basketball freshman guard Keegan Hyland has returned to his home in Portland, Maine, to pursue future basketball endeavors, Bulldogs head coach Mark Few confirmed Thursday.
"We wish Keegan well," Few said. "He was a long way from home and I think he figured he would be more comfortable being back on the East Coast."
He informed the coaches late last week of his decision and returned home last Saturday.
A story posted on Mainetoday.com quoted Hyland, who prepped at South Portland High, as saying he was going to visit the University of Maine and University of Vermont.
