Bulldogs Jump In Associated Press, USA Today Rankings
SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga University’s men’s basketball team made a jump in both the Associated Press and USA Today Top 25 polls this week.
The Bulldogs, on a four-game West Coast Conference winning streak, climbed three spots to No. 18 in the USA Today balloting of coaches and two spots to No. 22 in the AP voting of sportswriters.
Gonzaga downed the University of San Francisco last Monday and remained the only undefeated team in WCC play with victories over Saint Mary’s College and WCC newcomer University of the Pacific this past weekend.
The first WCC road outing of the season for the 14-2 Zags is Thursday at the University of Portland in an 8 p.m. game to be televised on ESPNU and aired on the IMG Gonzaga Radio Network including flagship station 1510 KGA CBS Sports Radio in Spokane.
Thursday’s game will be the lone outing of the week for the Bulldogs, who are also on the road next week with games at Pepperdine University and Loyola Marymount University.
