Dan Dickau To Chat Live Today!
Jan. 29, 2002
SPOKANE, Wash. - Today at 11:00 a.m. PT, Bulldog senior sensation Dan Dickau will make a special visit to the ESPN.com moderated chat room to talk about the 2001-2002 season!
Dickau leads the Bulldogs in scoring (19.9 ppg), assists (4.9/game), 3-point field goal percentage (71-for-155 for 45.8 percent) and free throw percentage (91-for-103 for 88.3 percent). He scored a season-high 31 points at Loyola Marymount - all in the first half - to fall three shy of his career high 34 set last season. A transfer from the University of Washington, Dickau is 7 assists shy of cracking Gonzaga's all-time Top 10 list as he enters the week with 248 assists in his two-year Gonzaga stint. He has played in two NCAA Tournaments - one with the Huskies in 1998 and last season with Gonzaga's Sweet Sixteen team. He was a member of the USA Basketball World University Games team that captured the bronze medal last summer in Beijing, China.
Dickau is the third straight Gonzaga University representative on the John R. Wooden Award Midseason Top 30 candidates announced Dec. 28 for the 2001-02 Wooden Award All-America Team. Casey Calvary, a Wooden All-America pick last season, and Matt Santangelo in 2000 were the previous Bulldogs on the list.
While Dickau will not be stopping by until 11:00 a.m. PT, feel free to submit your questions now and we will save them for his arrival!
