Gonzaga Men's Basketball Sold Out For Season

Feb. 1, 2000

Gonzaga University athletic director Mike Roth announced Tuesday there will be no tickets available for sale to the general public for the Bulldogs' remaining four home men's basketball games.

"We had the luxury of selling general admission tickets to some of our December and January games when our students were gone for semester break," Roth said. "But with school in session and the interest so high in men's basketball, we do not have the flexibility to sell general admission tickets for the remaining four home games."

Roth urged fans to arrive early for the remaining four games, especially staff, faculty and students.

"Against Portland, we quit admitting staff, faculty and students approximately 30 minutes prior to tipoff because we had reached capacity," Roth said. "I encourage even those fans with reserved seat tickets to arrive early."

The Bulldogs (16-5 overall, 6-0 in the West Coast Conference) entertain Pepperdine University (16-5, 6-0)Thursday in the battle for sole possession of first place. Loyola Marymount visits Saturday. Action both nights starts at 7 p.m. Both games this week will be televised. Thursday's game will be shown on AT&T Cable Channel 15 in Spokane, and Saturday's game will be shown on most Pacific Northwest affiliates of Fox Sports Net.
