Gonzaga - Santa Clara Men's Basketball Game Not Televised
Feb. 7, 2002
SPOKANE, Wash. - Tonight's men's basketball game between Gonzaga University and Santa Clara University will not be televised. This is a correction to all printed schedule cards and posters that originally had the game slated to air on the local PAX Channel in Spokane.
The game will not be televised due to the lack of a television signal coming from Santa Clara. The game was picked at the beginning of the season as part of the KHQ-PAX television package with the understanding that a television signal for the game would be made available. When Gonzaga and KHQ were notified in December that the signal would not be available, a switch to air the Gonzaga - Saint Joseph's game was made.
Fans will be able to listen to all the play-by-play action on the radio on KGA 1510 AM. Greg Heister will provide the play-by-play action starting at 7:15 p.m. Fans will be able to watch the Zags on television on Saturday evening when Fox Sports Northwest broadcasts the Gonzaga - San Diego game from Jenny Craig Pavilion.
