Raivio Tabbed WCC Player Of Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Gonzaga University point guard Derek Raivio has been named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week for his role in helping the Bulldogs move into a first-place tie with Saint Mary's College.
He scored 19 points in Thursday's win over league-leading Saint Mary's to pull the Bulldogs into the tie, then recorded his first career points/assists double-double with 19 points and 10 assists in Gonzaga's win over Santa Clara to complete the weekend sweep.
Also in the win over SMC he tied the school record for most consecutive free throws made at 41 before missing the record-breaking attempt.
For the week, he averaged 19 ppg, 7.0 assists/game and shot 58 percent from the field (11-19), including 50 percent from beyond the arc (6-12). He also posted a 4.7 to 1 assist to turnover ratio, meaning for every 4.7 assists he had just one turnover.
