Feb. 7, 2006

SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University's men's basketball game with Stanford University this Saturday - which includes the inaugural visit to Gonzaga for College Game Day on ESPN - is sold out.

"We're excited about having College Game Day on campus - the first time it's been west of Kansas," Gonzaga athletic director Mike Roth said. "Our fans have been talking about this for months, and with students, staff and faculty picking up their allotted tickets in record time, I think our fans are ready for the national stage."

Saturday is "Paint The Kennel White" with fans encouraged to wear white.

College Game Day will air from 8 a.m.-9 a.m. and from 5 p.m.-6 p.m. from the McCarthey Athletic Center. The Gonzaga-Stanford game tips off at 6 p.m. and caps the day as the third game of the College Game Day tripleheader on ESPN.

The game can also be heard on 1510 KGA and with audio streamed on this web site.

The game concludes a four-game homestand for the Zags, who are 19-3, have won 10 straight and extended their nation-leading and school-record home court winning streak to 35 games with Monday's 62-61 win over Saint Mary's College.
