Dickau, Gourde Earn District 14 Honors

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Gonzaga University senior guard Dan Dickau was a first-team selection and junior forward Zach Gourde was a second-team pick on the All-District 14 men's basketball teams announced today by the National Association of Basketball Coaches.

Dickau was a second team pick a year ago while Gourde made his inaugural appearance on the team.

Dickau is averaging a team-leading 20.6 ppg and 5.0 assists/game. He is shooting 45.9 percent from the field (147-for-320), 48.4 percent from 3-point range (91-for-188) and 88.0 percent from the free throw line (110-for-125). He matched his career high with 39 points this season at the University of Portland, and had a season-high 10 assists at the University of New Mexico, two shy of his career best.

Gourde, who prepped with Dickau at Prairie High in Vancouver, Wash., is averaging 14.3 ppg and 7.0 rpg, both second on the club. He's shooting 56.0 percent from the field (150-for-268). He scored a career-high 25 points at Pepperdine University this season, and matched his career high with 12 rebounds at Loyola Marymount University, the third 12-rebound night of his career. He also has six career double-doubles, five of them this season.

Joining Dickau on the first team are Casey Jacobson and Curtis Borchardt of Stanford University, and Luke RIdnour and Fred Jones of the University of Oregon. Also named to the second team were Luke Jackson of Oregon, Phillip Ricci of Oregon State University and the Utah State University tandem of Tony Brown and Desmond Peniger.
