KHQ, FSN Can't Air Gonzaga At Portland
Feb. 12, 2006
SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University's men's basketball game at the University of Portland on Monday will not be aired on Fox Sport Net or Spokane's KHQ-TV.
University of Portland officials signed with KPDX-TV UPN 49 to televise the game, then sold the rights to the game to KREM-TV in Spokane, which will air the 7 p.m. contest in the Spokane market.
"We tried unsuccessfully to come to a mutual agreement with Portland to allow KHQ-TV and FOX Sports Net to also televise the game," Gonzaga athletic director Mike Roth said.
KHQ and FSN are Gonzaga's contractual television partners to air all games not televised by another entity.
Fans with digital satellite capabilities can pick up the game on AMC 3, transponder 8A.
