Feb. 12, 2008
SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Gonzaga University junior guard Jeremy Pargo earned his second West Coast Conference Player of the Week honor this season after leading the Bulldogs to home wins over Pepperdine University and Loyola Marymount University. Pargo, a native of Chicago, Ill., turned in a brilliant week, averaging 14.0 points per game to go along with 9.0 assists//game and 4.5 steals/game. In addition, he shot an impressive 63.2 percent (12-for-19) from the field. Pargo recorded his third career points/assists double-double with 13 points and 12 assists in Gonzaga's 101-59 win over Pepperdine. The 12 assists were one off of his career high, which he set versus Virginia Tech earlier this season. He followed that up with 15-points, six assists and six steals in the Bulldogs' 83-50 win over LMU Monday to push Gonzaga's record to 8-1 and retain a share of the WCC league.
