Gonzaga At BYU Game Thursday Changed To 8 P.M. PST Tip
SPOKANE, Wash. – The winter storm in the East last week has prompted a change in the West involving the Gonzaga University at BYU men’s basketball game Thursday.
West Coast Conference commissioner Jamie Zaninovich, Gonzaga athletic director Mike Roth and BYU athletic director Tom Holmoe agreed to change the start time of Thursday’s game to 8 p.m. PST. The game will be televised on ESPN2 rather than ESPN. The game was originally set to tip at 6 p.m. PST.
ESPN officials made the request for the Gonzaga-BYU time and network changes when weather forced postponement of last Wednesday’s Duke University at the University of North Carolina game. The make-up date for the Duke-UNC game is Thursday at 6 p.m. PST which pitted Duke-UNC in direct conflict with the Gonzaga-BYU contest.
