Turiaf, Morrison NABC All-District 14

OVERLAND PARK, Kans. - Gonzaga University senior Ronny Turiaf and sophomore Adam Morrison have each been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) District 14 first team, the Bulldogs joining Stanford University with two first-team selections.
Chris Hernandez and Dan Grunfeld of the Cardinal, and Nate Robinson of Washington round out the first team. Dan Kickert, Saint Mary's College; Tre Simmons, Washington; David Lucas, Oregon State University; John Cox, University of San Francisco, and Christian Maraker, University of the Pacific, were named to the second team.
Turiaf and Hernandez are first-team repeaters from a year ago, Turiaf also a second-team selection as a sophomore. The native of Le Robert, Martinique, is averaging 16.5 ppg, 9.3 rpg and 1.8 blocks/game for the 20-4 and 13th-ranked Bulldogs. He has three straight double-doubles, including 15 points and 13 rebounds Thursday as he moved into fifth on the all-time Gonzaga scoring charts with 1,637 points and into fourth in career rebounding with 787 boards.
Morrison is making his first appearance on the squad, the product of Spokane's Mead High averaging a team-leading 17.7 ppg while also contributing 5.6 rpg.
