Morrison, Batista Earn All-District Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Senior J.P. Batista and junior Adam Morrison have been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District 14 first team.

This marks the eighth straight season the Bulldogs have been represented on the team.

Morrison is averaging 28.8 ppg for second in the NCAA Division I ranks behind Duke's J.J. Redick. Batista is averaging 20.0 ppg and 9.1 rpg for the 21-3 Bulldogs who are ranked fifth in both of the major polls.

The Bulldogs are in Los Angeles this week trying to clinch their sixth straight West Coast Conference title and and their eighth in the last nine years. Gonzaga is at Loyola Marymount University on Saturday for a 3 p.m. contest to be televised regionally on ABC-TV. A Bulldog win clinches no wores than a tie for the title, but Gonzaga would hold the tiebreaker.
