Stepp Named To District VIII All-Academic Team

SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University senior guard Blake Stepp has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America All-District VIII Academic Team for the second straight year.
Stepp has a 3.24 grade point average in business administration. His name will now appear on the national ballot as he aims for his second straight Academic All-America honor. He was a third-team selection last season.
The Bulldogs are currently 22-2 and ranked sixth in the country in both the Associated Press and USA Today/ESPN Top 25 polls. He's averaging 14.8 ppg, 4.6 rpg and 7.1 assists/game, the latter ranked sixth in the country. Stepp is sixth on the Gonzaga career scoring chart with 1,573 points, is second in career assists with 604, is second in career 3-point field goals with 272 and is third in career steals with 146.
Joining Stepp on the All-District VIII squad are Lance Allred, junior, center, Weber State University, 3.64 GPA, history; Kelly Golob, sophomore, guard, Northern Arizona University, 3.83, exercise science; Michael Kuebler, senior, guard, University of Hawai'i, 3.67, business administration, and Amit Tamir, University of California, senior, center, 3.34, American Studies.
