Dickau District VIII All-Academic Pick

EUGENE, Ore. - Gonzaga University guard Dan Dickau has been named to the 2002 Verizon District VIII All-Academic first team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Dickau, a two-time selection, has a 3.40 grade point average in broadcasting. He is averaging 20.9 ppg to lead the West Coast Conference, 5.0 assists/game, is sixth in the nation in 3-point field goal percentage at 48.0 pct. and is tied for first in the country with his 3.8 3-point field goals made/game. He has also moved into ninth on the Gonzaga career assists list in just two seasons, entering this weekend with 280 assists.
Joining Dickau on the District VIII squad are Predrag Savovic, University of Hawai'i, 3.25 GPA, international business and finance, Jason Humbert, Eastern Washington Univesity, 3.52 GPA in computer information systems, Eric Nielsen, Brigham Young University, 3.28, civil engineering, and Michael Preston, University of the Pacific, 3.81 GPA, business administration.
