SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Gonzaga University's men's basketball team, the regular-season champion at 16-0 and No. 1 seed into the West Coast Conference Tournament, will play its semifinal game Saturday at 6 p.m. at The Orleans Arena in Las Vegas

Gonzaga, which won the regular-season title for the 12th time in the last 13 years, will also be trying to claim its 12th WCC Tournament crown since 1995 and reclaim the title Saint Mary's College took from the Bulldogs last season with a 78-74 overtime win. Gonzaga has been in the WCC Tournament championship game a WCC record 18 times, including 15 straight. The last time Gonzaga didn't play for the title was 1997 when No. 2 Saint Mary's downed No. 3 USF 66-59 at Loyola Marymount University. This is the fifth straight season the tournament has been held at The Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.
Gonzaga will be idle until learning its semifinal foe Friday. BYU, the third seed, and No. 4 Santa Clara each earn a bye to the quarterfinals and will take the floor on Friday night. San Francisco and San Diego finished with identical conference marks, split the head-to-head series, and had the exact same record against each WCC opponent.
