Gonzaga First Round Game Set To Tip At 5:40 p.m. (MST)

SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University and the University of Wyoming will meet in the first round of the NCAA Tournament West Region on Thursday night at 5:40 p.m. (MST). The Bulldogs, seeded sixth, will be making their fourth straight NCAA tournament appearance while the No. 11 seed Wyoming is making its first tournament appearance since 1988. The two teams will meet in the opening game of the night session at The Pit in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The game will be telecast locally on CBS (KREM-TV Channel 2 in Spokane) or fans can listen to the games on radio station KGA 1510 AM with Greg Heister providing all the play-by-play action. Fans can also follow all the tournament action on the official Gonzaga Athletics website at www.gozags.com. The Arizona vs. UC Santa Barbara game will start approximately 30 minutes following the conclusion of the Gonzaga game.

The morning session will also feature teams from the West Region as Miami (Fla.) plays Missouri at 10:40 a.m. (MST). Ohio State vs. Davidson will start 30 minutes following that game. The Albuquerque site features all teams from the West Region in the new regional pod format the NCAA set for this year. The winner of each pod will advance to the Sweet 16 in San Jose on March 21. Cincinnati, which plays its first round pod in Pittsburgh, is seeded No. 1 in the West Region while Oklahoma is seeded No. 2 and will play its pod in Dallas.

Game 1: No. 5 Miami vs. No. 12 Missouri, 10:40 a.m.
Game 2: No. 4 Ohio State vs. No. 13 Davidson, 30 minutes after Game 1

Game 3: No. 6 Gonzaga vs. No. 11 Wyoming, 5:40 p.m.
Game 4: No. 2 Arizona vs. No. 15 UC Santa Barbara, 30 minutes after Game 3
