Stepp Named NABC All-American

OVERLAND PARK, Kans. - Gonzaga University senior point guard Blake Stepp has been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-America second team.
It's the latest in a series of honors for the Eugene, Ore., native who already this season has been named the West Coast Conference Player of the Year for a second straight season, was a second-team Academic All-American as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America and was named the District 9 Player of the Year by the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA).
The NABC All-America first team is comprised of Jameer Nelson of Saint Joseph's University, Emeka Okafor of the University of Connecticut, Josh Childress of Stanford University, Lawrence Roberts of Mississippi State University and Andre Emmett of Texas Tech University.
Joining Stepp on the second team were Ryan Gomes of Providence University, Devin Harris of the University of Wisconsin, Julius Hodge of North Carolina State University and Chris Duhon of Duke University.
Stepp was a first-team District 14 pick a year ago while Turiaf and Violette were both second-team District 14 honorees.
