Bulldogs To Play Late Game In Seattle

SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University will play the final game of day one action in the 2004 NCAA Tournament when competition begins on Thursday in Seattle. The Bulldogs, seeded second in the St. Louis Regional, will face Valparaiso University in the final game of session two at Key Arena. The first game of the second session will feature No. 7 seed Michigan State University against No. 10 seed University of Nevada with a tip time of 4:35 p.m. (PST). The Bulldogs contest against Valparaiso will start 30-minutes following the Michigan State/Nevada game.
The morning session in Seattle will consist of four teams from the Phoenix Regional. No. 8 seed the University of Alabama will open against No. 9 seed Southern Illinois University at 11:40 a.m. (PST). The final game of the morning session will be 30-minutes after the conclusion of the Alabama/Southern Illinois game, pitting No. 1 seed Stanford University against No. 16 seed the University of Texas-San Antonio.
The winners of Thursday's games will advance to a single session on Saturday in Key Arena, the winner of the Gonzaga/Valparaiso game will face the Michigan State/Nevada winner in the first game of the day at 12:20 p.m. followed by the Stanford/Texas San-Antonio winner against Alabama/Southern Illinois winner 30-minute following the first game.
