Gonzaga Ticket Distribution Policy For 2003 NCAA Tournament

SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University will have a limited number of tickets allotted for their first-round game against the University of Cincinnati in this year's NCAA tournament. The Bulldogs will face the Bearcats on Thursday at the Huntsman Center on the University of Utah campus in Salt Lake City. The tickets will also be good for the first-round contest between University of Arizona and the University of Vermont.

Gonzaga will distribute a number of tickets to the Gonzaga student body and also for the families of the Gonzaga team. The remainder of the tickets will initially be distributed among 10-to-15 percent of the Gonzaga University Bulldog Club Athletic Benefactors. If tickets are still available they will go on sale to all other Bulldog Club members Monday at 9 a.m. If tickets still remain, sales will be opened to the general public starting at Noon. Tickets will go on sale to the Gonzaga student body starting at 9 a.m. on Monday morning in the atrium of the Martin Centre on a first-come, first served basis.

In addition, the general public does have the opportunity to purchase tickets through the University of Utah as the site does have a limited number of tickets remaining. Orders are now being taken through the Utah website at

  • www.utahcrimsonclub.com Those tickets on sale are for individual and all session passes, but Utah officials were confident Sunday night the tournament would sell out early Monday morning.

    Game times for the NCAA first-round will be set by CBS later on Sunday night. The other session taking place at the Salt Lake City site include games between Duke University and Colorado State University; and Creighton University and Central Michigan University. Unless you purchase an all session pass you will only be able to attend the session you have purchased.

    "We are very excited about being in this year's NCAA tournament," stated Gonzaga athletic director Mike Roth at a post-selection press conference. "The Salt Lake City site provides a good opportunity for our fans to travel this year."
