Dickau, Few On Wooden Awards Show Sunday

SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University senior point guard Dan Dickau and head coach Mark Few will be part of the John R. Wooden Award Show to air live Sunday.

The show will be televised live on FOX Sports Net from 4-5 p.m. PST, including FOX Sports Net Northwest, Channel 34 on most AT&T Broadband Cable systems in Spokane. Check local listings for the station and time in other areas.

Dickau is one of five finalists for the 26th John R. Wooden Award, being joined by Juan Dixon of national champion University of Maryland, Drew Gooden of the University of Kansas, Steve Logan of the University of Cincinnati and Jason Williams of Duke University.

The voting was conducted by more than 1,000 media members and basketball experts. The field of 30 finalists was narrowed to the 10-member Wooden All-America team, with the top five vote getters and their coaches invited to the presentation gala for the announcement of the John R. Wooden Award.

Dickau is the second straight Gonzaga player to be a member of the Wooden All-America team, joining Casey Calvary who received the honor last season. But the Vancouver, Wash., native is the first Bulldog to make the top five.

Few and Dickau will also appear on The Best Damn Sports Show Period on Friday night on most FOX Sports Net stations. The show will air at 8 p.m. PST on FOX Sports Net Northwest.
