Gonzaga Student-Athletes Winning in the Classroom

SPOKANE – Gonzaga’s student-athletes continued to excel in the classroom during the Spring 2015 semester, posting a departmental cumulative grade-point average of 3.31.

There were 124 student-athletes who earned their way on to the Dean’s or President’s list this semester, including a semester-record-tying 72 on the President’s List and 52 on the Dean’s List.

All 18 athletic programs posted team GPAs above a 3.0 and 11 total student-athletes earned a perfect 4.0 GPA.

The Zags were also one of just four schools nationally that had at least 75 percent of their athletic programs finish in the top 10 percent of the multi-year Academic Progress Rate (APR) of their sport. Dartmouth, Northwestern and Lafayette College were the other three.
