Santangelo Signs To Play Basketball In Greece

THESSALONIKI, Greece - Former Gonzaga University guard Matt Santangelo has signed a 3-year contract to play basketball for B.C. Iraklis Thessaloniki next season.
Santangelo, who broke John Stockton's career school record for assists, had been scheduled to play for the Vancouver Grizzlies of the NBA in the Rocky Mountain Revue summer league until signing his contract with Iraklis late last week.
Iraklis went 14-12 and finished seventh in the E.S.A.K.E. League last season. Iraklis will move to the new 20-team Suproleague this season.
