Rocky Mountain Summer Revue Season Ends

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The Rocky Mountain Revue summer league for the NBA ended its schedule over the weekend, with three former Gonzaga University players now awaiting word on their NBA futures.

Matt Santangelo and Richie Frahm were both members of the Utah Jazz, while Axel Dench played for the Houston Rockets. All three were seniors on Gonzaga's 2000 NCAA Tournament Sweet Sixteen squad.

The Jazz finished 4-2. Santangelo played in five of the six games with two starts, playing a total of 59 minutes. He scored 10 points for a 2.0 ppg average, dished out 5 assists and had 9 rebounds. Frahm came off the bench in three games and played 14 minutes. He averaged 0.3 ppg, grabbed 2 rebounds and had a pair of blocked shots.

Dench, whose Rockets went 2-4, played 68 minutes while coming off the bench in all six games. He scored 14 points for 2.8 ppg, had 10 rebounds, 3 assists and a blocked shot.

Santangelo played last season in Greece and Italy, while Dench played in his native Australia and garnered Rookie of the Year honors in leading the Woolongong Hawks to the NBL Grand Final title. Frahm sat out last season while rehabilitating a broken foot.

NBA teams will announce their fall camp invitees later this summer. NBA camps commence in late September.
