Gonzaga's Drew Barham Blogs About AIA Lithuanian Tour: Blog 3

EDITOR’S NOTE: Gonzaga University men’s basketball player Drew Barham, who is in graduate school in the Masters in Organizational Leadership program, is currently in Lithuania with Athletes in Action for a 10-day goodwill tour. He checked in with some thoughts of his second trip abroad with AIA, the other coming in 2011 when he went to China.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 17: We just arrived back at the hotel after our last game. We ended the trip with 5 wins and 1 loss. Yesterday we won 103-94. I shot the ball well and ended with 31 points. Today's game was rough because the referees are horrible over here; however, we still came out with the win. I had 15 points and 6 rebounds.

This has been a great trip so far and it's not over yet. Tomorrow we go on a boat cruise across the Baltic Sea to 3 different islands for a couple hours which should be a lot of fun! I'll keep y'all posted with some pictures of the trip.

I have learned a lot on this trip and had some great game experience to get ready for this next season. Moreover, helping people that are struggling in this world has really taught me to value every day and take nothing for granted. You never know when it is your time to go or when hardships will strike. It has been a blessing to give back to others on this trip. I have come to realize that a simple smile and living with passion every day can make a difference in people's lives whether you know it or not.

Hope everyone is living life to the fullest back in the States! God Bless
