Gonzaga-Texas Tickets On Sale

PHOENIX, Ariz. - Tickets for the inaugural Basketball Hall of Fame Challenge Dec. 2 featuring four top-25 teams are on sale to the general public, officials of Guest Seven Sports Marketing, promoters of the event, announced.
The doubleheader features Gonzaga University against the University of Texas and the University of Illinois squaring off with the University of Arizona at the U.S. Airways Center in Phoenix. ESPN will broadcast the games nationally beginning at noon PST.
Game tickets are priced from $30-$200 and can be purchased at all TicketMaster locations or by calling 480-784-4444. Tickets also can be purchased online at TicketMaster.com or at the U.S. Airways Center box office. Group tickets can be purchased by calling Dan Berman at 602-379-7878.

The star-studded event serves as a celebration and fundraiser for the Basketball Hall of Fame, based in Springfield, Mass. - the birthplace of basketball. The doubleheader will be an annual event held in a different city each year, highlighted by community outreach programs, Hall of Famer appearances and additional activities. This year, Hall of Famers and the participating teams will visit local charities in the greater Phoenix area the day before the game and conduct a clinic for local youth at U.S. Airways Center the morning of the event.
The 2006 Challenge tips off locally with the Hall of Fame Golf Challenge at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale on Oct. 9. Corporate golf packages are available and each foursome will participate with a Hall of Famer or local celebrity. Scheduled to play are the head coaches of each team in the 2006 Challenge; Hall of Famers such as Jerry Colangelo and Dominique Wilkins, and ESPN talent.
